What is Reality?
Reality is putting so much coke and pills up your nose it starts gushing blood. Then you wipe the blood away, pick the straw back up and do it again.
Reality is growing up in church and sitting in the pews every Sunday but in the middle of the sermon you get up and go to the bathroom only to get high again. It’s every word that comes out of your mouth is a lie because you just don’t know what the truth is anymore.
Reality is absolutely hating the person that you’ve become and not caring if you live or die as long as you’re high when you do it.
Reality is waking up not knowing where you are, how you got there or what happened the night before.
How do I know that’s reality? Because that was me.
Though we all have different realities, we have all been changed by the same truth.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says; “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone and the new has come.”
The truth is; I don’t even know who that girl is anymore. The truth is, I can walk through that church that I grew up in with my head held high because I know that my God has changed me. The truth is that I have given my whole life to God. I’m a sold out soldier for Christ and the truth is that in Teen Challenge God called me to be a missionary. I’m now a student at ELC and God’s taken me all over the place this year with what He’s done in my life and that’s my truth.
